McAREAVEY, Daniel (26th Ann). In loving memory of my dear brother Daniel, shot dead by crown forces on 6 October 1972. Also his friends and comrades of D Coy, 2nd Batt, Belfast Brigade who also gave their lives for Irish freedom. May their sacrifice not be in vain, they are forgotten by many, remembered by few. Our Lady of the Gael pray for them. Always remembered by his loving brother Hugh, Mary, nieces and nephews.

McAREAVEY, Daniel (26th Ann).In proud and loving memory of my dear brother Daniel, D Coy, 2nd Batt, Belfast Brigade, murdered by crown forces on 6 October 1972. The fools, the fools, they have left us our Fenian dead. But while Ireland holds these graves Ireland unfree shall never be at peace. No greater love has a man than he gives his life for his country.
