SF man arrested
Sinn Fein Youth National Organiser Eoin O'broin was arrested at
Birmingham Airport on Monday at the start of a speaking tour of
English cities. He was held for an hour and a half before being
released without charge.
The West Midlands police later issued a statement saying the
arrest was ``routine in the circumstances''.
Organiser of the tour Mary Pearson, Chair of the Troops Out
Movement, said, ``It is absolutely outrageous that in the
circumstances of the peace process a Sinn Féin representative can
be arrested for simply wantinmg to have dialogue with the youth
of Britain''.
